    EXECUTIVE PRODUCER

    Kim Estes is an US Merchant Marine Veteran and Emmy Award-winning actor whose credits include NCIS, How I Met Your Mother, Private Practice, House, Dexter, Secrets and Lies, Cold Case, Criminal Minds, Numb3rs, The Unit, Rake, and more.

  • Adrianna Wang

    CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER

    Adrianna is a first-generation Filipina American, a member of the LGBTQIA+ community, and a proponent for minority rights, (Center for Asian Americans United for Self-Empowerment - CAUSE, American Legion).

    As a U.S. Army veteran, she served in Support Maintenance, Combat Support, and Psychological Operations.

    Adrianna is passionate about filmmaking and has produced several indie short films recognized for authentic representation and emotional depth. Burger Day received honorable mentions and festival screenings (IMDB, KPBS), and Aftermath: White Rabbit premiered at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art.

    As Chief Executive Officer at Spike & Crown Studios, her goal is to create and share stories that resonate with all audiences. She co-wrote our first project, House of La Mancha, hoping to bring candid storytelling to the forefront and uplift those living with mental illness and trauma.

  • Ed Alva

    CHIEF OPERATING OFFICER

    Ed has played a pivotal role in delivering powerful, award-winning non-fiction stories. As the Editor and Post-Production Supervisor for Not So Pretty (2022), a Max Original Series, Ed helped create a compelling expose on the untold stories of the beauty industry. His role as an Associate Editor and Post-Production Supervisor on Allen V. Farrow (2021), an HBO Original Series, was vital in piecing together a complex portrait of a high-profile controversy, a contribution that helped earn the series seven Emmy nominations. In The Hunting Ground (2015), Ed’s work instrumental in shedding light on sexual assault on college campuses. He also worked on The Invisible War (2012) which examined rape cases in the U.S. military.

    As Chief of Operations at Spike & Crown Studios, Ed oversees our animated projects from inception to final cut, ensuring that our projects are both visually captivating and narratively engaging. His experience with sensitive topics and complex narratives is invaluable in creating powerful films that stand out in the competitive landscape of indie animation.

  • Frans Tedja Kusuma

    CHIEF CREATIVE OFFICER

    As an illustrator, visual dev, and storyboard artist, Frans’s clients have included Red Hour Films, New Line Cinema, Bredow Bros, Goddard Design Group, and Universal Studios. Frans’s personal works have been published in several Spectrum The Best in Contemporary Fantastic Art annuals. His illustrations have also been featured in the Society of Illustrator Los Angeles Exhibition: Illustration West. He now serves as a faculty member in production design, visual development, and illustration courses at universities and community colleges across central California.

    Over the course of the last decade, Frans co-wrote the House of La Mancha, motivated in part to come to terms with his own childhood trauma. As the Studio’s Chief Creative Officer, Frans advocates for minority voices to be an integral part of business and creative operations, with the hope that it will elevate unheard stories.

  • John Lee

    HEAD OF PRODUCTION

    John is a bona fide introvert who grew up in Taipei during the 80s. As an artist himself and the Head of Production at Spike & Crown Studios, he oversees color scripts, concept designs, (props, backgrounds), and approves storyboards with Frans. John also directs the overseas teams and freelance modelers involved in making our characters come to life.

    John’s art journey is heavily inspired by his dad, who drew comics. John’s background includes freelance work with Warner Bros. Animation and illustrations for mobile games. Beyond his professional endeavors, he expresses himself through colorful and dreamlike landscape paintings.

  • Juno Lee

    HEAD OF BRAND

    Before joining Spike & Crown Studios, Juno was was a Creative Officer for award-winning comic Dave Chappelle’s Los Angeles tour and merchandise branch. She has collaborated with the Los Angeles Lakers, The Grammy Awards, MGM Grand, Manny Pacquiao, the Jabbawockeez, Joe Rogan, among many others. Most recently, she assisted artist & director Mike Carson (Kendrick Lamar, Travis Scott, Megan Thee Stallion, Nike), with production and live experience design. As Head of Brand at Spike & Crown Studios, Juno guides a team of designers and creators to align all public-facing content with the company’s objectives.
